This Wednesday night I’ll be speaking at the Digital Nashville Education Series event on the topic of “Social Media Unplugged: Everything Social Minus The Technology.” The event is from 6:00-8:00 at E|Spaces in Nashville. Here’s the overview of the session:
There is a lot of social media discussion about how to use the tools well. You can learn how to enhance your Twitter skills or improve on your blogging, but you need to have some fundamental understanding of the things that work across social media platforms to really succeed. In fact, it doesn’t really matter what social media tools or technology you use when you have the right perspective on them in the first place.
For instance, you may know that content is key in social media but how do you create content people want to consume? You know that conversation is vital in social media but how to you spark conversations in the first place? Or perhaps you’re wondering about how you measure success. You know you need to validate the energy you’re spending in social media but how do you measure a dialogue?
This session provides a framework for understanding how to succeed in social media before you ever go online.
Hope you can make it on Wednesday night. This is the first time I’ve given this presentation and I’m rolling out a few new ideas and one new methodology I’ve been working on. Registration is required for the event.
