Since the Olympics officially begin tonight, I thought it would be fitting to show one of the most inspirational Olympic moments in recent memory. This is the now famous clip of runner Derek Redmond from the 1992 Summer Olympics. Redmond pulled a hamstring halfway through the 400 meter race and instead of stopping when he went down he pushed ahead and then, for the real tear jerking moment, his father came out of the stands and helped him push through to the end. This is a great, inspriational clip. Let the games begin.
